Cedar
Generative development platform for urban infill residential construction that dramatically reduces the time from land acquisition to permitting. Uses generative algorithms and local zoning/land development data to automatically analyze sites, predict development yield, suggest design options, and model financial feasibility, all from a web browser. Currently focused on Austin, TX with expansion to major US cities planned. Built for "missing middle" infill developers working on small-to-mid-scale multifamily projects.
Use during site sourcing and feasibility for urban infill residential development. Instead of hiring consultants to analyze zoning code, compatibility restrictions, and buildable envelope across dozens of parcels, Cedar automates this, surfacing which sites can support multifamily or "missing middle" housing, how many units are achievable, and what design options exist, all before spending money on architects or permits.
